The position is opened in the frame of the European Commission FET Open project "New tools and algorithms for directed network analysis" (NADINE), described at www.quantware.ups-tlse.fr/FETNADINE/fetnadine.pdf . The NADINE project aims to develop new methods of analytical and numerical analysis of modern directed networks including World Wide Web, social and communication networks, world trade networks and many others. The project is formed by four European groups from 4 EU countries with expertise in mathematics, computer science and theoretical physics. The project is coordinated by the Quantware group, Toulouse. The candidate should have a good knowledge of complex systems analysis, computer simulations, theoretical physics. The Quantware group is part of the Laboratoire de Physics Theorique at CNRS and University Paul Sabatier. The Laboratoire is internationally recognized in the fields of quantum and classical chaos, statistical physics, mesoscopic and disordered systems, many-body interacting systems, superconductivity. The position duration is for 2-2.5 years. The net salary is the usual CNRS post-doc salary, it includes health insurance, retirement and unemployment benefits. Any citizenship is accepted.
